When weighing wood flooring options to remodel their existing homes, most homeowners have been leaning toward pre-finished wood floors as their choice. There are many advantages to these pre-finished products in existing homes such as no sanding and staining on site, and multiple coats of finish already applied, just to name a few. These floors are available in both solids and engineered – though engineered floors are more popular in our area with the drastic climate changes we endure. Engineered floors are less susceptible to expansion and contraction with their multi-ply construction.
